Sexuality is what we owe everything that fills our lives and measures its significance. With it, we will see the world for the first time. We get to know and experience our bodies. We will enjoy and experience a pleasure. It will reveal the facets of our attachment to sexual choices and objects. And, it reflects that we will meet in the eyes of our children.
At the same time, sexuality is the cause of disappointments in life and ourselves, in family, in love, in values, in ideas, and finally, in choices and decisions.
The purpose of sexuality is life and its continuation. Except that, most of us will live this life in misery.
And only a very select few will live sexuality and life at the same time because we fall in love with the sexuality of another. Moreover, we lose our attraction to it.
There is no sexuality without a body, and, at this point, the person is powerless. Sexuality is the only thing that man cannot subordinate to himself.
Love is a necessary component of the development of sexuality and loss. However, in the formation of sexuality, love and loss must never meet. It is only by coincidence or choice that sexuality is condemned to disappear.
We will explore all these metaphors in the workshop “The Edge of Sexuality. From Love to Loss”.
