“A Child on a Stretch, or an Ode to the Bullying Teacher”

Have you ever felt your palms break out in a cold sweat from overwhelming anxiety, with the worry that you are unable to protect your child? Have you ever felt? And think about it, from whom?

Because your child is not being bullied by peers or teenagers from high school, or even by the leader of a “yard pack of half-grown predators”.

No, a Teacher is bullying your child.

Yes, your child is being bullied by the One who is supposed to be the child’s guide to the world of adults! The One Who forms the first crystals of the child’s consciousness and lays the first stones in the foundation of her worldview! The one who, like a doctor who stands with the Hippocratic Oath before his patient, chooses his professional path into the child world and her formation as a personality and individuality! And, finally, the one who lives on the taxes of citizens because his activity is non-profit and is fully invested by his primary employer – the State and Society!

In this cooperation, the State is waiting for a Citizen, and the Society is waiting for a Free Personality capable of preserving the ideas of independence and statehood.

However, in this situation, these are too loud words, in front of which the Bullying Teacher, encoded in the state budget and power, has put a big pile of shit on all these truths. Moreover, this is the rhetoric of a mother driven into a corner.

Here’s the truth. The main features of a Bullying Teacher:

1. He is an active advocate of the ideology of education and training. Whose ideology is this? His own!
2. He is an incredible crook in terms of recognizing the individuality of the child, where what he declares does not coincide with what he does about the child, the student. What is this individuality for? There is he, the omniscient and omnipotent logos, the beginning and the end – yes, nothing can be proved to him because there is only his comprehensive experience and professionalism!
3. He makes the child an object of his sadistic self-satisfaction because the child cannot resist him. He is doomed because he is coded in his social status as a student. And any resistance is disobedience. And who is to blame in this situation of disobedience? The child! He violates discipline, interferes with the acquisition of knowledge by others, and is directly involved in the “corruption” of the school team!
4. Therefore, He, our Bullying Teacher, will begin to gather around Himself “like-minded people” among the “victims”, who are the parents of the children’s class. And then the fun begins. The child is put “on a stretch” because all his movements are perceived under the microscope of a lost conscience, distorted pedagogy and lack of humanity. Is this teacher educating?

And the child at this time:

1. He loses his peace of mind, is afraid to go to school, and does not fall asleep until midnight.
2. At school, like a driven animal, he tries to be the best at first but, having lost hope, becomes the animal that prevents the Great Bullying Master from performing the act of education and training.
3. Later, the child starts to get sick. The parents frantically take him to all the doctors.
4. Then they go to a psychologist, asking to give their child a chance and the right to live in society.
5. And, submitting to the psychosis of the Bullying Teacher and being powerless before the system, they bow their heads and begin to believe in the bestiality of their child.

My palms get cold again at the realization that after gaining access to European values and the right to be educated at world-leading universities, in Ukraine the Teacher-Bully is actively regulating the child’s relationship with the world, exemplifying the professional bottom and regression of the social and civic values of a democratic state.

We are losing again because school is not only for obedient children but also for those who are complicated, unconquered, authentic and often simply creative.

PS: This is not a story for Instagram or Facebook. It’s the truth and life. And it is a pity that true teachers and educators are always in the shadow of these “ideologues”.
